社会生活中,欣赏与被欣赏是一种互动的力量,欣赏者必备具有愉悦之心,仁爱之怀,成人之美之善念;被欣赏者必产生自尊之心,奋进之力,向上之志。“孩子的成长需要欣赏,人性中最本质的需求就是渴望得到尊重与被欣赏,而孩子更好像是为了得到欣赏而来到人世间。”在一定程度上可以说,没有欣赏就没有教育。较之优秀生,后进生则更需要老师的赞美、鼓励,因为他们由于长期受歧视、遭冷落,一般都很脆弱,对外界极敏感,对他人心存戒备,看起来缺乏自尊心,而实际上他们的内心深处极渴望老师的理解、信任,他们依然十分在乎老师对他们的评价,尤其是身上缺点多的孩子。
