现代科学技术是化学工业赖以生存和发展的根基,是取之不尽、用之不竭的源泉。要保证化学工业持续、稳定、协调地发展,必须把依靠科技进步振兴化学工业作为一项战略方针,长期不懈地贯彻下去。“科技兴化”有着丰富的内涵,它包括了科学决策、战略构思、更新观念、建立相应的运行机制和组织管理体制、制订明确的目标、配套的政策措施等。实现这个战略方针,是一项艰巨复杂的系统工程,一定会遇到许多困难和问题。这需要化工战线全体职工树雄心,立壮志,不畏艰难,持之以恒,为实现这个方针而努力。
Modern science and technology are the basis for the survival and development of the chemical industry and are inexhaustible sources. To ensure the sustained, stable, and coordinated development of the chemical industry, we must rely on scientific and technological progress to revitalize the chemical industry as a strategic approach and implement it unremittingly for a long time. “Science and technology development” has rich connotations. It includes scientific decision-making, strategic conception, updating concepts, establishing corresponding operating mechanisms and organizational management systems, formulating clear goals, and supporting policy measures. Realizing this strategic policy is a difficult and complicated systematic project and will surely encounter many difficulties and problems. This requires the ambition of all the workers in the chemical industry to establish ambitions, persist in hardships, and persevere in order to achieve this goal.
