The start-up stance of the 22nd Olympic 100m champion Alan Wells has recently become the subject of much study by athletes and coaches who experiment and analyze this new starting technique from a theoretical and biomechanical point of view. Wales in 1978 European Championships did not use the starting device, attracted the attention of many experts. After the Wells used the “CFMB” squat-start position and won the 100-meter championship at the 1980 Olympics, West Germany conducted the first study.
