在当今的国际田径界,普遍重视开展少儿田径训练。就此,国际田联成立了专门的机构,对少儿田径训练进行针对性研究。我国也有许许多多从事少儿田径训练的教练员,他们为培养我国的田径后备力量不辞辛苦,积累了许多有益的经验。在进行少儿田径训练时,器材设备是否适合少儿身心发展的特点,是少儿田径训练中需要认真研究和解决的一个非常重要的方面。许多用于成人进行田径训练的器材设备不适宜在训练少年儿童时使用。为促进少年儿童在专项技能方面的进步,激发少年儿童训练的积极性,保证少年儿童训练的安全。在进行少儿训练时,应根据少儿的年龄特点,生长发育规律,自制一些适宜的器材设备,对进行少儿训练是非常重要的。根据国际田联少儿训练专家的授课内容,笔者总结了自制少儿训练器材设备的五项原则,供广大从事少儿田径训练的教练员在自制少儿训练器材设备时参考。
