The double-capacitor method is one of the most modern methods for measuring the electron-to-electron-to-emitter ratio more precisely. A recent physics contest describes this method. One of the most accurate modern methods for determining the electron-to-electron-mass ratio is the double-capacitor method. As shown in Figure 1, the electrons emitted from the cathode K in the vacuum tube have negligible initial velocity. This electron is accelerated by the electric field of the anode A and passes through the barrier D1.
