福特 对福特公司来说,新型Explorer和Mercury Mountaineer(2002款)的推出显然是一个大手笔。尽管福特公司对这两种车型的本身进行了彻底的改进,但他们在外形上几乎没有什么差别。这两种汽车最明显的技术创新是:4.6L OHC型V8发动机取代了老式的5.0L推杆式发动机;安装了独立式后悬架系统。
For Ford, the introduction of the new Explorer and the Mercury Mountaineer (2002) is clearly a masterpiece. Although Ford has radically improved both models themselves, they are almost the same in appearance. The most obvious technological innovations for both cars are: the 4.6L OHC V8 engine replaces the older 5.0L putter engine; a stand-alone rear suspension system is installed.
