本文原是西川宁先生寄给德国美术史专家盖普博士的书信。文中对有关《书谱》的三个方面的问题进行了论述。即:(1)折痕问题;(2)一纸的书写形式;(3)现存卷子为完本。现存的《书谱》卷子由二十三张各自独立的纸构成。卷上的十二纸中存在着较为规矩的a类和较为放纵的b类两种书风相混杂的情况。通过研究,西川先生认为,a类是孙过庭于垂拱元年书写初稿本时的书风,b类则是垂拱三年改写时的书风。而b类书风中出现的强烈节点和衄挫,最初源于书谱卷子上的折痕,后来作者又将之当作一种技巧,加以有意的运用,故给人以华饰夸张的感觉。最后,西川先生又结合文献、印鉴等内容,推断现存《书谱》卷子就是完本,卷尾的“撰为六篇,分成两卷”的六篇、两卷实际已经包含在现在的卷子中了,而卷首的“书谱卷上”则是未经改写的初稿本的残留。 This article was originally a letter from Mr. Xi Chuanning sent to Dr. Gap, a German art history expert. The article discusses the three aspects of “book”. Namely: (1) crease problem; (2) a piece of paper in the form of writing; (3) the existing volume for the end.
