As we all know, haze can cause respiratory diseases, but you know? Smog can also affect people’s mental health. Researchers conducted a survey of the correlation between air quality and suicide rates in a region of Israel. The wind direction in the area changed regularly, mainly in the westerlies from two o’clock in the afternoon to ten o’clock in the afternoon, and mainly in the east at 11 am to midday. The westerly wind is relatively humid and the air is fresh when it is blown away. The wind is mixed with dust in the east wind, which increases the amount of suspended particles in the air as it blows up. Under these air conditions, researchers counted the number of suicide cases in the area over a two-year period.
