对不同类型的核不育系在自然条件和人工控制条件下抽穗的花粉育性进行了连续检查,结果表明:粳型不育系02428S、农垦58S和籼型不育系8902S的育性对光长敏感,W6154S等籼型不育系对光长不敏感,因而没有发现长日—短日条件下的育性转换。所有核不育系都对温度有一定的敏感性,低温可导致不育系在长日下不同程度的育性恢复,高温又可导致不育系在短日下的败育率提高或完全败育。对光长敏感不育系的温敏时期是二次枝梗分化至花粉母细胞形成期,而温敏型不育系W6154S等是花粉母细胞减数分裂期,不育系间诱导育性彻底败育的临界温度也不同。
