西方文化入门作为一门语言学科的基础,许多老师及学生已经意识到了学好它对学好英语的重要作用。学习西方文化能够让我们了解西方国家的社会文化、风俗传统以及思维方式。认识中西方文化的差异,有助于提高学生英语学习的能力、兴趣以及文化修养。因此,西方文化入门课的教授工作值得我们高校英语教师和学者们更多地去探讨与研究。 Introduction to Western Culture As the foundation of a language discipline, many teachers and students have realized the importance of learning how to learn English well. Studying Western culture allows us to understand the social cultures, customs and ways of thinking in Western countries. Understanding the differences between Chinese and Western cultures helps to improve students’ ability, interest and cultural accomplishment in English learning. Therefore, the teaching work of the introductory course of western culture deserves more discussion and research from English teachers and scholars in colleges and universities.
