跳高运动员的训练应从以下身体训练的三个一般要素中得以发展: 一般身体训练——发展心血管的一般耐久力,良好的全面力量和灵活性。专门身体训练——发展爆发力、速度、专项耐力以及灵活性。技术训练——发展跳高的动作型式。如果规定把以上各个要素固定地分配到身体训练计划中,这就会显得很莽撞,因为跳高运动员之间的差异不可能使以上各个要素固定地分配到身体训练计划中。但在跳高运动员参加赛季的早期阶段通常都重视一般身体训练;随着跳高运动员身材的增高,逐渐过渡到专门身体训练和技术训练。训练可分为四个段,每段的实际训练时间长短可由个人期望力求成为一名跳高运动员的点时间来决定。这个特殊的时间表假定
