一九六○年三月十五日,我們在一年級試驗班(六岁儿童)中开始英語教学。一、两年来的教学情况 I.第一阶段(第一学期):听說阶段在这一阶段內,我們在課內只教学生說話,訓絲他們听和說的能力,不教讀和写。六岁的儿童对于学习說英語很感兴趣,积极性很高。我們把詞汇分为若干类,每星期按类教一个小单元。如关于动物类,教学生讀horse(馬)、tiger(老虎)、cow(牛)、duck(鴨子)、pig(猪)等。这一学期,学生共学单詞110个(包括只要求听懂的1/4詞汇)、句型五种。在課內多数学生可以听懂老师用英語发出的一些要求:如“起立”,“坐下”,“坐正”,“到这里来”等。他們能回答“这是什么?”“这是××嗎?”“你叫什么名字?”等提問。
On March 15, 1960, we started teaching English in the first-grade experimental class (six-year-old children). Teaching Situation in One or Two Years I. Stage One (First Semester): Stage of Listening and Speaking In this stage, we only teach students to talk in class and interpret their ability of listening and speaking. They do not teach and write . Six-year-olds are very interested in learning to speak English. They are highly motivated. We divide the vocabulary into several classes, teaching a small unit by class each week. As for animals, teaching students to read horse, tiger, cow, duck, pig and so on. This semester, students learn a total of 110 words (including only require understanding of the 1/4 vocabulary), sentence five. Most students in the class can understand some of the requirements the teacher has given in English: such as “standing up”, “sitting down”, “sitting right”, “coming here” and so on. They can answer “What is this?” “This is × ×?” “What's your name?” And other questions.
