The author studied the hereditary relationship of fingerprint types between parents and childran on the 405 families (total 1612 persons, perents is 810 persons, children is 802 prsons) in Jiaohe county of Jilin province by the method of computer technique and quantitative analysis. According to the frequencies of the fingerprint of parent the fingerprint type is derided into different subtypes, and the relationship between the parents and their children belonging to the certain subtype are analysed in parallel the corresponding subtypes of a common population,With the evaluation of the subtypes of the children, calculated the intimate degree (I.D.)of the children’s fingerprint types, then comparing the results of the supposed families with the one of the realistic families shown evidently the hereditary nature of the fingerprint types. The application cf the I. D. of fingerprint heredity in Forensic paternity testing is a new index in the study of the fingerprint heredity.

The frequencies of the fingerprint of parent the fingerprint type is derided into different subtypes, and the relationship between the parents and their children belonging to the certain subtype are analysed in parallel the corresponding subtypes of a common population, with the evaluation of the subtypes of the The children, calculated the intimate degree (ID) of the children’s fingerprint types, then comparison the results of the estimated families with the one of the realistic communities shown evidently the hereditary nature of the fingerprint types. The application cf the ID of fingerprint heredity in Forensic Paternity testing is a new index in the study of the fingerprint heredity.
