The National Defense Science, Technology and Industry Working Conference was held in Beijing on January 4-6, 2001. Liu Jibin, director of the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and party secretary made a speech at the opening ceremony of the General Assembly to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Jiang’s important instructions for the new century’s national defense science and technology industry. The report of “Rejuvenate and work hard”, Zhang Huazhu, deputy director of the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and member of the Party Committee made a “unified thought and paid close attention to the implementation of the report.”
