齿轮箱一万向轴传动装置在苏联及其他国家普遍应用。苏联铁路车辆上装用由车轴中部和端部驱动的齿轮箱一万向轴传动装置。这两种传动装置较皮带传动装置能传递较大的功率,且工作更为可靠。装有空调设备的车辆需要功率20~30千瓦,轴端驱动的传动装置仅能传递10千瓦的功率,不能保证供电要求。在装有空调设备的车辆上,只有采用由车轴中部驱动的齿轮箱一万向轴传动装置,才能够传递40千瓦的功率。苏联所采用的传
