In this paper, experiments to confirm the carbon dioxide laser tube diameter on the output power and efficiency. It has been demonstrated that when the tube diameter is between 11 millimeters and 44 millimeters, the output power and efficiency are almost independent of the diameter. The measured output was 75 W / m and the efficiency was 10%. At lower output power, higher efficiency is achieved. Discussed the donation of mirrors and talked about two experiments of irradiating carbon dioxide and ammonia with a high power laser beam. Explain the strong interaction between the laser beam and the discharge tube current. Finally, the thermal flow calorimeter used to measure high-power laser beams is introduced.
