HSSE Department of the CNPC Middle East Company: The North Azadegan Oilfield in Ahvaz, Iran, is a place with the off-putting reputation of being “the minefield of warfare, the hottest spot on earth and the international wetland”. As such, the Department of HSSE strives to both ensure the health and safety of its employees and secure safe and clean production in the oilfield. This chapter of “The Silk Road of Energy” features cooperation and overseas win-win outcomes.
