建国40多年来,泵站建设获得了举世瞩目的成绩。由于现有泵站中有相当一部分是在特殊历史条件下建设起来的,当时设计经验不足,可供选择的设备品种不全、性能较差,致使工程遗留问题较多,加上管理不善,设备及工程设施老化,使得其效益不能充分发挥,而且消耗了相当多的能量。反映在技术指标上,就是泵站装置效率很低。某省对35个县7200台机组进行了测试分析,中小型泵站装置效率一般在40％左右,低的尚不足30％。
