A kind of mixed collector containing oleic acid (sodium) as the main component was compounded and the mechanism of flotation of iron ore was comparatively studied from the angles of contact angle and infrared spectroscopy. The results of open-circuit flotation experiment showed that the concentrate with the iron content of 58.34% was obtained from DLC-2, which was 1.64% higher than that of the field agent when the concentrate recovery was similar.
