不是我天然关注这些人物,而是艺术天然关注这些人物。所有著名的艺术家关注的都是这类边缘性的人物。因为他们有性格,他们太个别,而在主流社会里,人物都是相像的,比较类型化的。早在2008年4月,第六届华语文学传媒大奖颁奖典礼上,我第一次见到了凭小说《启蒙时代》当选“年度杰出作家”的王安忆。她为自己终于有作品能够在《长恨歌》多年光芒的掩盖中“突围”而面露欣喜之色,对台下媒体的群访也是少有地配合。
It is not my natural concern about these people, but the art’s natural focus on these people. All the famous artists focus on such marginalized people. Because they have character, they are too different. In the mainstream society, people are all alike and relatively typed.
