《程氏易传》经尹和靖与杨龟山传承后,到朱熹与吕祖谦那里。吕祖谦利用自家所藏尹和靖本,校以朱熹本,重新刻了《程氏易传》的定本。此后不久,陈亮又刻了“小本”的《程氏易传》。此间东莱、朱子、陈同甫、潘叔度商讨的过程可谓反复,需要加以梳理。《程氏易传》最初没有《系辞》以下,后来的刻书则辑录了许多程子有关《系辞》的讲解。其中的《系辞精义》即出自吕东莱,并非后人伪作,瞿镛、王欣夫等先贤的怀疑并无根据。
