Ischemic heart disease is one of the major diseases that affect human health. Although vascular reperfusion therapy can save the heart muscle, it can not regenerate the myocardial cells. Due to the limited ability of cardiomyocytes to regenerate, the infarct area is replaced by scar tissue. In recent years, research shows that stem cells can differentiate into cardiomyocytes, which brings hope for the treatment of ischemic heart disease. However, some studies have shown that: Transplantation of stem cells is apt to cause arrhythmia, mainly due to its electrophysiological abnormalities. The mechanisms include: increased self-regulation, slow conduction and triggering activities. This review summarizes the research on cardiac arrhythmia induced by stem cell cardiomyocyte differentiation in recent years.
