In the early days of the war of resistance against Japan, Hong Kong played a special role in China’s quest for foreign aid and the main channel for foreign trade. Although Hong Kong’s position has weakened since the fall of Guangzhou, it still extensively expanded the fan-shaped trade and transport network with the east and west wings of the Pearl River estuary, opened up the curve trade through Vietnam and Mainland China and maintained the “islanding” And North China’s important ports of commerce. As the largest free-re-entrant port in the Far East, Hong Kong has become an important place for China, the United States and Britain to carry out economic and trade competitions with Japan. It helped to break the economic blockade in Japan and supported the war of resistance against Japan in the most difficult period during which China’s war of resistance entered a phase of strategic stalemate camp. At the same time, Japan has also taken advantage of the wanton smuggling in Hong Kong’s free port and has had a negative effect.
