The structural relationship between digestion and construction of plot and meditation enables Miller’s thinking to be expressed in the text, as well as reflecting the inherent contradiction that modernism transcends and sticks to the traditional narrative method based on plot. The final compromise of the plot by American avant-garde writers, including Henry Miller, not only confirmed the legitimacy of the plot in the art of language fiction, but also showed that the exploration of the form of anti-plot of modernism actually provided a Kind of power.
