The Shanxi Province Internal Combustion Engine Society, with the support and assistance of the China Institute of Internal Combustion Engines and the Shanxi Provincial Association for Science and Technology, was approved by the Shanxi Provincial Science and Technology Commission and the Shanxi Association for Science and Technology to hold the inaugural meeting and the first session in Shanxi Datong from August 13th to 15th, 1986.
