遵义会议使党摆脱了把马克思主义教条化,把共产国际决议和苏联经验神圣化的错误倾向,重新确立了毛泽东正确的军事路线及毛泽东在全党的领导地位,后又经过延安整风和党的七大,党完善了新民主主义革命理论,达到了党在新民主主义革命这一特定历史时期认识上的成熟。但遵义会议不能标志着党的成熟。“党在特定历史时期的认识成熟”和“党的成熟”是两个既有联系又有区别的概念。“党的成熟”是一个发展中的概念,其判断标准在变化。党的宏伟目标的实现不能仅靠党在特定历史时期的认识成熟,而应靠党的不断发展的更加成熟完备的政治理论成果来指导。
