The incidence of cerebrovascular disease, morbidity and mortality are high, which pose a serious threat to people’s health and quality of life. Severe cerebrovascular disease can cause severe brain injury in patients with clinically high degree of heterogeneity of the stroke, the same lesion caused by brain injury will have a different prognosis. Therefore, early fully evaluate the patient’s brain function, is conducive to the prediction of long-term prognosis, the choice of treatment options, the rational allocation of medical resources. In recent years, evoked potentials (EPs), as an important means of electrophysiological examination, play a more and more important role in evaluating brain function after various types of brain injury. The author reviews recent studies on the assessment of brain function by evoked potentials.
