还是原国家新闻出版署报刊司司长刘波任战友报社社长的时候,他曾邀请几位新闻同道开过一次座谈会,征求大家对办好《战友报》的意见。记得我发言的大意是:要把《战友报》办成基层官兵的良师益友。如果能办到让读者想“战友”盼报来的份上,就该打满分。其实,这正是几代战友报人的心愿和追求。然而,在信息爆炸、多媒竞争、网络受宠的新媒体时代,要实现这个目标,又谈何容易。时至今日,《战友报》究竟办得怎样,部队官兵自有公论。但至少在我看来,该报《基层之友》专版这个“友中之友”是大受欢迎的,这是我这个新闻老兵每期必读的良师
