Background and Preface Chemistry in Con-text-Application Chemistry to Society (“Context Chemistry”) was prepared by the American Chemical Society and published by McGraw-Hill in 1994 Chemistry textbooks for high school students in the United States can also be used as textbooks for liberal arts students. Since the publication of the first edition, the fourth edition has been released after several amendments.
