The title compound has the formula [Eu (NO_3) _6] [Eu (NO_3) _2C_ (12) H_ (24) O_6] _3. The crystals are monoclinic with space group C2 / m, a = 28.772 (6), b = 11.142 (2), c = 12.024 (2) A, β = 112.63 (2) ° and Z = 2. For all 1167 observable reflections (I ≥ 3σ (I)), all structural parameters were refined using the least squares method of the block matrix with a final concordance factor of R = 0.063. The structural analysis shows that there are three different crystallites in the crystal structure: (1) [Eu (NO_3) _6] ~ (3 -), (2) [Eu (NO_3) _2C_ (12) H_ (24) O_6] Ordered) and (3) [Eu (NO_3) _2C_ (12) H_ (24) O_6] ~ + (disordered). The first two ions have C_ (2h) symmetry. The third ion is C_1 symmetrical and has a disordered crown ether ring. The two crown ether rings are superimposed on the Fourier plot and their mutual staggered angles are 32 °.
