枝优桂99是平果县种子公司用枝A不育系与桂99恢复系组配而成。1991和1992年两年共试种1万亩,一般平均亩产458.6公厅,最高亩产605.5公斤。产量与目前平果的当家组合汕优桂99相仿,米质则优于汕优桂99。枝优桂99作早造种植生育期125天,晚造110天。株高100—105厘米。分蘖早,分蘖力强.株型较紧凑,茎秆细,叶片小,叶色深绿,不耐肥,但后期转色好,成穗率高。每亩插基本苗16—20万:每亩有效穗22—24万,每穗总粒数115粒,结实率88.6％,千粒重25克。
