In the diagnosis of primary liver cancer, about 20% of alpha-fetoprotein is negative. The authors selected the five-enzyme ipsilateral method for the diagnosis of primary liver cancer with good results. The zymogram and positive rate of alpha-fetoprotein-negative primary liver cancer (65 cases) were higher than those of non-hepatoma group (50 cases), and there was a significant difference (P<0.01). Among them, 11 cases were surgically resected. The pathological examination confirmed differentiated and poorly differentiated hepatocellular carcinoma, which further confirmed that the above-mentioned enzyme index is a group of sensitive liver cancer markers. Five-enzyme-analyzed assay is helpful to improve the diagnosis of AFP-negative liver cancer.
