本文选自外研社即将推出的《外国人看中国》系列丛书之《外教及留学生看中国》。作者莫大伟在密歇根大学获得中国研究硕士和博士学位。自1996年以来,他在北京外国语大学英语系任教。他做过许多中美跨语言、跨文化领域的研究,主攻方向是比较语言学,以翻译为重点。他经常作为嘉宾出现在北京电视台的节目中,他也参加在京的爵士乐小组爵士钢琴曲演奏。现在,他与妻子李莉华,女儿李莫住在北京外国语大学校园内。
This article is from Foreign Studies and Foreign Students’ Perspectives on China, which is going to be launched soon by the Institute for Foreign Studies. Author Mo Dawei received master’s and doctorate in Chinese studies from the University of Michigan. Since 1996, he has taught at the English department of Beijing Foreign Studies University. He has done a lot of cross-cultural and cross-cultural studies between China and the United States. His main thrust is to compare linguistics and focus on translation. He often appeared as a guest on Beijing Television programs, and he also played jazz piano jazz compositions in Beijing. Now he and his wife Li Lihua, daughter Li Mo live in Beijing Foreign Studies University campus.
