新闻活动是人类特有的精神活动 ,是人类活动特性的重要体现。人文精神的 ,内核是它对人类生存意义、生存价值、生存环境及人类命运和前途的终极关怀。新闻活动中蕴含着丰富的人文精神 ,人文精神亦是新闻活动不可或缺的属性 ,其本身需要人文精神的回归 ,美学作为一种“人学”直接涉及人类本身的建设 ,关系着人类自身的生存和发展 ,因此 ,它和新闻活动中的人文精神有着异曲同工之处 ,有着千丝万缕的联系。季水河先生的《新闻美学》将新闻传播活动纳入人类审美实践活动的总体框架和美学视野中加以考察 ,实际上已从一个侧面阐述了新闻活动中人文精神回归的重要性及内在的必然的联系 ,是当代新闻工作者在新闻活动中体现人文精神的一部很好的教材。
