我校创建于1983年3月,现有17个教学班,在校学生874人。几年来,在办学中,我们坚持以长为主、长短结合办学,办学形式灵活多样,专业设置能适应市场经济和社会发展的需要,到目前为止,已为曲靖第二、三产业的振兴和发展培养了一千余名合格的初、中级专业技术人才。同时,学校为主动适应市场经济的发展,主动探索校企合一,产教结合之路,开办了木工厂、校办实习服装厂,成立了劳动服务公司和职业介绍所。学校在改革中前进,办学效益和社会影响不断扩大,1991年被全国农村教育深化改革研讨会定为参观点;连续三年被市委、市政府评为“治安综合治理先进单位”;1992年11月经省教委检查验收为“合格学校”;1993年3月,被曲靖市智力开发办公室授予“农村智力开发先进集体”称号。
