On July 14, Algeria’s first solar and natural gas hybrid power station was officially opened in Hasiharmare. The installed capacity of the power station is 150,000 kilowatts, of which 120,000 kilowatts use natural gas to generate electricity and 30,000 kilowatts use solar power to generate electricity and will be directly integrated into the national grid. The plant was jointly invested by New Algeria Energy Company and Abener Spain with a total investment of 350 million euros. Algeria new energy company president at the project launch ceremony said that 80% of the project funds provided by the joint venture company, 20% of the project capital
