音乐作为一种瞬间艺术其本身就是比较抽象的概念,之后又与教育相结合,其内涵必然发生了质的改变,这不是音乐学和教育学这种学科之间的简单联结,而是应该重新审视和定义的一门学科,主要应被受教育者的情况所影响:比如年龄、性别、种族和生活环境进行灵活定义。现在的中小学音乐教育主要还是以情感教育为主,知识技能教育为辅的教育模式,这种音乐教育模式本身是没有较大问题,但在具体的课堂教学过程中,可变性和可改善性的“市场”是巨大的,也就是说现在的中小学音乐教育是急需进一步改善和调节的。
