This paper focuses on the analysis of the reasons why the magnetic locating logging curve of the magnetic locating equipment occurs, the design principle of magnetic steel and coil, the calculation of performance index and the method of solving the problem. The on-site well logging curve proves the correctness of the improved scheme and fundamentally solves the problem of magnetic locating apparatus, which plays an important role in the technical upgrading of the apparatus.
