当下,我们应该以什么样的态度看待劳动、看待劳动者?“劳动”曾经是非常光荣的字眼,“劳动者”曾经是令人敬重的称呼,而现在,这两大词汇的社会使用率在明显降低,其中的意味似乎也发生了改变。今年的“五一”劳动节就要到了。上班一族们已经在办公室里讨论这个长假怎么过,谈的最多的是旅游、购物和休闲。的确,在许多人眼中,还有政府和媒体眼中,“五一”劳动节已经几乎等同于了旅游周、购物节。极个别人除外,全国几乎所有的成年人都可以称之为劳动者,不管是从事什么行业,不管是以体力劳动为主还是以脑力劳动为主。在“五一”这个节日里,大家的旅游、购物和休闲绝对是天经地义的事情,无可厚非,但是,我们仍然有十足的理由让这个节日与“劳动”再多一些关联。在社会转型的关键时期,“以辛勤劳动为荣,以好逸恶劳为耻”作为“八荣八耻”的重要内容,被胡锦涛总书记着重提到全社会每一个成员面前,无疑是值得我们深思的。于是,今年“五一”劳动节之前的这期《招商周刊》,分量最重的主题策划栏目要聚焦中国最普通的劳动者们。近几年中国经济在世界之林的加速崛起,主要得益于制造业。对于“世界工厂”的称呼虽然存在争议,但制造业和制造业工人对我们国家的确居功至伟。而随着整个经济和社会的发展,现在制造业工人的生存状况又如何呢?他们的福利待遇、作业环境、劳动强度、民主权利是不是已经有所改观?我们决意要寻找一家制造业企业进行一次工人生存状况调查。经过编辑部热烈的讨论,最后我们的眼光落到了青岛亨达集团有限公司身上。作为著名民营企业家,亨达集团董事长王吉万非常开明,爽快地答应了我们看上去似乎有点“不怀好意”的调查采访,“欢迎记者以批评的眼光发现问题”,并且特意授权我们在制鞋厂区内“可以出入任何地方,可以约见任何人”,要求被采访对象一定要做到有问必答。三天的驻厂实地采访,记者从感性到理性收获颇多。现在就请读者随我们走进亨达厂区,揭开亨达制鞋工人生存状况、劳动关系、内部生产及管理的帷幕。本刊编辑部
