Based on the drift model, virtual boundary requirement, the theory of conditional tolerance and the tolerance principle of ISO and national standards, the mathematical gauge equivalent of software gauge which can be used to verify the tolerance of hole parts is given. It provides a theoretical basis for the evaluation of computer-aided tolerance design for constraint-based parametric CAD system and has important scientific significance and application value for promoting CAD / CAM integration, especially for parallel engineering
