自从放射生物学开创时期以来,电离辐射对高等哺乳动物血象的影响已有很多的报导,但大部分试验是在啮齿类动物身上进行的。关于电离辐射对灵长类中狝猴血象影响的报导较少,自本世纪50年代迄今虽已有若干论文发表,但关于小剂量50r以下的γ射线对狝猴血象的影响尚未有过报导。狝猴在动物分类学上以及对电离辐射的敏感性方面与人类都较为接近,同时由于原子能的和平利用日益广泛,有越来越多的人口将受到小剂量的辐射,因此研究小剂量电离辐射对狝猴血象的影响,所得结果对于小剂量辐射损伤的诊断将具有一定的意义,因此进行了本研究工作。
