(A) In 1961, Chiang Kai-shek, 75, whose life had been shaken by candlelight and whose heavy shadow shrouded him. When an ordinary elderly feels the end of his life, he may be afraid, perhaps sad, perhaps calm. What he could think of may be no more than the ancestral property, the tombs at death and the future of his children and grandchildren. When a person who has lost his country and is unwilling to feel the deadline is approaching, the situation will be much more terrible. Chiang Ching-kuo deliberately selected a lake landscape like his father’s home Xikou, Fenghua, built a father’s “Cihu Hotel.” Leaves fall back to roots, now “leaves” have come down, “root” but not return. Build a “Cihu”, one can comfort their hearts; both father once the end of his life, you can have a long sleep. Cihu is not a fabled land. The telegraph of Cihu kept collecting and sending day and night. The owner of Cihu always paid attention to the trends on that side of the Strait and watched every move of Beijing. Recently, a series of news made Cihu’s host excited again. In successive years, natural disasters have taken place in the mainland. The vast area of land has been taken over by crops and the grain has been in an emergency. There has been famine on a large scale across the country. The Russians stopped their economic, technical and military assistance to the mainland, their experts were withdrawn, the project was stopped and many projects were paralyzed. Chiang Kai-shek really regarded all this as his chance to counterattack the mainland and restore the old dynasty. He really can not wait. He is more than a teenager compared to his opponent Mao Zedong. For him, life is a loose pendulum clockwork,
