This article describes the entire physical process of improving the physical design of the F-3 electromagnetic separator bar magnet, including the preliminary design, testing, adjustment and final determination of the ion optical parameters of the focus field and the gasket. The exact calculation of the ion beam shape in the actual field shows that improving the image width in the pad field is several times narrower than in the old pad field. Improvement is a success. Ion beam line width measurements confirm this. The full text is divided into two parts. The first part introduces the initial design of the field and gasket.
