查尔斯·汉迪是欧洲最知名和最具影响力的管理思想家,以“组织与个人的关系”、“未来的工作形态”等新观念闻名于世。早在20多年前,汉迪就预言21世纪的全职工作者将不到就业人口的一半。他本人在49岁时亲身实践这一预言,转职为独立工作者。(汉迪的系列作品中文版已由中国人民大学出版社出版发行。)“解读大师”栏目现陆续选载查尔斯·汉迪的部分著作,希望读者能够藉以聆听和理解这位管理大师的理论和思想,敬请大家关注。本文系编者根据汉迪的《觉醒的年代》一书部分章节整理而成,汉迪认为,在目前这个以“悖论”、“不确定性”和“非理性”为特征的时代,仅通过签字画押就想获得一个确定性的和一劳永逸的契约,已经越来越没有可能性。对企业来说真正有效的是一种通过为各利益相关方持续不断地创造价值,来播种、培育、维护的动态的、心照不宣的契约,一种在超越确定性中寻求确定的契约。
Charles Handy, Europe’s best known and most influential management thinker, is known worldwide for his new concepts such as “the relationship between organizations and individuals” and “future work patterns.” More than 20 years ago, Handy predicted that in the 21st century full-time workers will be less than half of the employed population. He personally practiced this prophecy at the age of 49 and was rehired as an independent worker.
