高温计是热处理工作中必需的工具；没有高温计而进行热处理便等于盲目的工作。本文介绍了最普遍使用的热电偶式高温计测量温度的原理；具体的使用方法，补正和校正的方法，以及自动控制与自动记录仪表的构造。目前各厂在高温计的使用上还存在不少问题，使热处理的温度难以置信。希望这方面的工作人员通过本文，能正确使用高温计，从而掌握和控制加热炉的温度，将热处理质量提高一步。本文因篇幅较长，故分期发表；今将前半部发表于下。
