杜尚、博伊斯的贡献在于突破了现代主义的边界问题。通常我们对现代主义的认识,是语言已经饱和了的事实,"已经没有新的玩法了",这也是让许多当代艺术工作者感到绝望的一件事。但是,语言真的饱和了吗?就连毕加索听到杜尚去世的消息后,喃喃地说:‘他做得不对。’……杜尚……是把艺术拉向‘毁灭’……"。但是,杜尚和博伊斯这两个看似破坏了现代主义艺术边界的人,却实则扩充了艺术语言的边界,正是这两个人以"反艺术"的观念架起后现代主义艺术的脊梁。让我们重新审视艺术,并重新追问艺术对于自己是什么。
