Bacterial infection is an unsolved problem in the field of therapeutics, involving a very wide range. In the 1970s, bacterial infections were thought to be mainly due to bacteria in the in vitro environment. At that time, it was discovered that the phenomenon of multiple organ failure (MOF) occurring later in the severe infection of patients was extremely serious and organ failure occurred in a sequential manner. Later, it was found that patients with severe infections not only had organ failure, but also nervous system, blood and metabolic systems all had the possibility of failure. In the 1980s the MOF was renamed MSOS. At the time, immunology was also developed, recognizing the multiple systems that occur later in the life of a serious infection
