盘江吊桥跨径38公尺,原为扁钢眼杆无加劲桁架的木纵横桥吊桥,车辆经过,摆动下沉,跨度中点达0.26公尺,桥台系利用旧人行吊桥桥台,由于多年的雨水浸蚀和风化,灰浆脱落开裂,1955年该桥加设加劲桁架,纵横梁换为工字钢梁,桥台污工灌浆勾缝加固,由原设养桥工二人负责桥梁的维修、检查、指挥车辆、记录车行密度及养护桥头引道50~200公尺,茲将未加设加劲桁架前养护情况介绍如下:
