According to a study by Scientia Horticulturae (http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.scienta.2014.08.010), Rebogile R. Phahlele et al from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa reviewed the effects of harvesting Factors influencing bioactive components of pomegranate before and after.
