广东省农科院育成的常规稻桂农占、玉香油占、华新占3个品种,前两个已被农业部指定为超级稻;后者经广东省2004年、2005年早造区试,产量比对照种平均增产率超8%,达广适型超级稻标准。这3个品种都已通过广东省农作物品种审定委员会审定,成为超级稻品种集团。它们在汕头市试验、示范中表现尤其突出,因此,成为本市“十一五”重点发展品种和超级稻主导品种。
